November 8, 2022 I've been involved in the "women's rights" movement since I was 15 years old (1973). As a young woman, my mother would take me to N.O.W. meetings (National Organization of Women), and I handed out flyers on election day to support voting for the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) - which unfortunately didn't… Continue reading Taking Back Our Power

Back to school
Speckman in his graduation outfit including a new Pack Leash collar and leash in tie-dye It's been a minute since I've had any children to send back to school but now I send the dogs back. Knitting from Stash
It's hard to believe that summer is almost over. Well, honestly, I've been over summer, all summer. What's with these 'real feel' temperature readings? We’ve Hit the Winter Doldrums
When is it spring? I can't believe we're already running up on February! The weather is still bipolar. 58F one day, 38F the next. I am looking forward to spring! My Sea Glass Tee is nearing the end. Temps rose back to 57F on January 5, and on January 6th it snowed again. This really doesn't bode well for 2022 (or climate change).… Continue reading Snow Days!
I can’t even remember what day it is

I have 1, maybe 2, friends that I feel are adequately protecting… Continue reading I can’t even remember what day it is
Decoding knit patterns
K2P1, PSSO, KTBL, CDD* If you are a Knitter (with a capital K) you probably familiar with these abbreviations. As with most things, we Knitters have short-hand for our patterns that is universal among designers. In fact, if I find a non-standard abbreviation in a pattern, the entire pattern becomes suspect. However, recently I began… Continue reading Decoding knit patterns
