What is the one thing you seem to never have enough of (other than yarn)? For me it’s US5-6-7 needles and scissors. The needles are understandable, I have too many UFOs and every time I cast on something new it seems to need one of these sizes. The scissors is just an obsession. I love a good pair of thread scissors. You know the kind, small, sharp, and usually in some unusual shape (like a bird) or color (like coated in a prism glaze). I can’t seem to get enough of them but can never find one when I need one.

My advent boxes have started to arrive. I guess it is the pandemic fatigue but I bought 2 this year and a maker’s box of yarn. The dyers for the advent boxes are Traveling Yarn Company and River City Yarn. The maker’s box is from Knit Social. I seriously don’t need any more yarn but I can’t seem to quell the need for more.
My former obsession was knitting bags. I have dozens and dozens. I am currently weeding through my stash of them and setting aside my favorites with a plan to rehome the rest. Part of my wants to destash them because of the money I invested originally and part of me just wants them gone. Not sure which part will win at this point.
French press coffee > all other brew methods. This is probably a controversial topic but making my little pot every morning with fresh ground beans and setting it on my desk to brew makes me very happy. In the 2 months I’ve been doing this, I have not regretting retiring my keurig even one time.
Pfizer has announced some really exciting early results of their Covid vaccine. I am proud to say I am a subject (aka guinea pig) in this study – I don’t know if I have received the vaccine or the placebo but have had no side effects (and no Covid). Here’s to seeing a light at the end of the tunnel and the possibility of resuming travel in 2021.
The election cycle is complete. That is all.

We have just 8 weeks until 2021 – I was looking forward to turning this page but unfortunately, I fear it will be more of the same. Halloween spikes now; Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s spikes to come. I understand pandemic fatigue but, wow, people just don’t get it. Wear a mask. Stay home. Read a book. Knit a sweater. Bake a pie.
